Kimiko Kuga is an Administrative and Budgetary Advisor and Researcher at the Permanent Mission of Japan to the United Nations. She is in charge of researching and negotiating UN administration and budgetary issues and making suggestions at the 5th Committee to achieve positive outcomes. Regarding budgetary issues, she analyses budget performance and budget proposals. She also performs outreach to the UN Secretariat officials, other delegations and vendors to exchange insights on UN procurement mechanisms and procedures. While obtaining her Ph.D., drawing attention to policy changes against human trafficking and modern slavery, she provided tutorials at Lady Margaret Hall, teaching Politics and Government of East Asian Countries. She also worked as a steering committee member at the Migration and Mobility Network hosted by the Centre on Migration, Policy and Society (COMPAS).
