Make a Gift

Make a Gift

This academic year, St Cross turns 60 – and we mark this occasion with the Anniversary Campaign: Making History.

From its inception, the College has benefitted from generous support, both institutional and personal, coming from those who believed in our mission. As a graduate-focused institution with an egalitarian, international community, St Cross is proud of its role within Oxford, where we bring talented people from diverse disciplines together in the heart of the city.

Our goal is to preserve and build upon the qualities that set St Cross apart: widening opportunities to members of the University who come from all backgrounds, striving for academic excellence, and cultivating an environment that encourages intellectual exchange.

In our anniversary year, the focus is on Scholarships, a new interdisciplinary programme (Crosslinks), and our Buildings and College Environment. Each of these causes contributes to the present and future of St Cross, while respecting our founding vision. The continued support of our alumni and friends remains essential for preserving and enhancing everything that we do.

Until 30th September 2026, the College has been presented with another wonderful opportunity: gifts up to a value of £15,000 will be matched, thanks to a generous pledge by Career Essentials Inc. and David Scrymgeour, friend of St Cross. Single gifts will be doubled and regular gifts tripled in the first year. Match funds will support the Community Bursary programme.

If you would like to make history with us, donations can be made online or via a completed donation form (download UK form | download US form | download International form).

Every gift, no matter the size, is invaluable in helping us support and develop some of the brightest minds, while sustaining our College’s legacy of providing academic opportunities to students and Fellows from all Four Corners of the World.

Find out more on our dedicated Make a Gift page.

Please note that the College does not hold any theses or dissertations by any members or alumni. This is the responsibility of the Oxford University Research Archive and they should be your first point of contact if you would like to access the thesis of any St Cross member.

Degree Days

Graduation is the formal end to your degree and in order to mark this important occasion, students are invited to attend a ceremony at the Sheldonian Theatre.

In order to attend a Degree Ceremony, students must book their place via the University's online portal

St Cross hosts a celebration in College either before or after your ceremony, depending on the time of your ceremony. Students can invite up to two guests to the ceremony and College celebration, and you will be sent a link to book tickets for your guests ahead of your ceremony. For students with more than two guests, we recommend that you consider planning an additional celebration elsewhere in Oxford during that weekend, where you can accommodate everyone in your party.

Dates for Degree Days can be found above.

Certicates and Transcripts

Degree certificates are issued automatically prior to each degree ceremony and are handed out on the day (or posted on the first working day after the ceremony to those who took their degree In Absentia). Additional certificates can be ordered from the University website (please note, charges for additional certificates will apply).

For students who commenced their studies in and after Michaelmas term 2007, transcripts can be requested from the University website. For students who commenced their studies prior to 2007, transcript requests should be directed to the Academic Office.
