Key information
Student Status & Preparing to Leave the University
All Junior Members are automatically members of Common Room with College student status while they retain student status in the University. This ceases on publication of your examination results, or on being granted Leave to Supplicate for a research degree.
To help prepare you for leaving the University, and to answer your questions about computer and IT access, degree certificates, library access and more, please visit the University pages. Important information about IT access and when this will expire is available on the Preparing to leave website. If you are a PGT student who has been granted an extension for submission of a dissertation, and your deadline now occurs after the original expiry date of your University card, your card will be extended to September 2026 and you will receive an email to confirm this. If you have questions about the expiry date of your University card, and believe it will need extending to support you whilst you complete your studies, please contact academic.office@stx.ox.ac.uk
We cannot extend access to your Oxford email address beyond your University card expiry date and the University currently does not offer an Email for Life. More details about email addresses for alumni can be found on the University Alumni website.
Alumni Cards
All alumni can request a My Oxford Card which gives you access to various benefits and offers. To request a card please use the My Oxford Card platform. From your account at My Oxford Online, you can get also exclusive content from the University, update your contact details, and manage your communication preferences.
Library Services
Please make arrangements to return any library books you have borrowed from the college library. You can leave your books in one of the returns cupboards found in the library or the college foyer, or post them back to us marked for the attention of our Librarian, Philippa Taney.
