As part of the St Cross College Professionals in Residence programme, and following the success of his original workshop in October 2021, Anthony Geffen returns to St Cross College with another innovative & immersive workshop.

Anthony Geffen, multi-BAFTA and Emmy award winning producer and storytelling visionary, and CEO of Alchemy Immersive, will discuss the future of immersive storytelling. As well as talking about the future of immersive storytelling, he will give you the opportunity to learn about the process of making immersive content and you will get the opportunity to see some of Alchemy’s ground-breaking content.

This event must be booked in advance. The workshop day will be fully catered with lunch and refreshments provided. 

Programme: 

10.00 - 10.30: Meet and greet with students in West Wing foyer (with breakfast refreshments)

10.30 - 12:30: ‘The Future of Immersive Storytelling’ with Anthony Geffen in Lecture Theatre:

  • Anthony Geffen discusses the future of immersive storytelling, speaking about how storytelling got to where it is today and how the use of AR, VR, MR and AI will affect storytelling in the future.
  • Alchemy Immersive director Iona McEwan will then discuss the production pipelines of some of Alchemy’s most high-profile content. There will then be Q&A session with Anthony and Iona following the lecture.

12:30 - 13:30: Al fresco working lunch on West Wing patio

13:30 - 15:30: Immersive Storytelling demo (with refreshments)

  • Test some of Alchemy Immersive’s state-of-the-art immersive content and get the opportunity to chat with some of the creators from Alchemy Immersive.
