St Cross 60th Anniversary Weekend – Closing Celebration

 

Date: Friday 18th - Sunday 20th September 2026


Accommodation: We are pleased to offer accommodation in College (from £60 per night) throughout the weekend. Accommodation will be provided in either the West Wing or the South Wing.

Dinners: We are delighted to offer a choice of two evening dinners. Both events will begin with welcome drinks, followed by dinner in Hall. The cost is £60 per person, and you are very welcome to bring a guest.

All Other Events: You are welcome to register for individual free events from the programme. Event selections can be made via the Microsoft Form.

We invite all Alumni, Fellows and Friends to a special celebration weekend from 18th to 20th September 2026, featuring special dinners and lunches, a garden party, lectures, exhibitions and tours.

We are also delighted to offer attendees the opportunity to stay in College accommodation over the course of the weekend.


Weekend Schedule

 

Friday 18th September

  • 3pm-5pm: Tea, Coffee & Cakes in the Saugman Common Room

  • 3:30pm-5pm:  South Asian Art at the Ashmolean
    Guided behind-the-scenes viewing with Mallica Kumbera Landrus of the contemporary art collection and Climate Culture Care by Bangladesh-based artist Soma Surovi Jannat. Includes an opportunity to see Colonial Views of India, 19th c. photographs by Eugene Impey.

  • 5:30pm-6pm: Evensong, Pusey House Chapel

  • 6pm-7pm: Historical Exhibition & Self-Guided Tours of St Cross

  • 7pm-10pm: Anniversary Dinner


Saturday 19th September


Sunday 20th September

  • 10am-11am: Music Recital

  • 10am-11am: Tea, Coffee & Cakes in the Saugman Common Room

  • 11am-12noon: The future of Equality - perspectives from education and the law

  • 12noon-2pm: Family Garden Party (including food & activities for all ages)
