International students are advised to obtain an NHS number -

COVID-19 Testing

International students are required to follow the national guidelines and book tests with private providers available as stipulated on the website. This will be the most up-to-date place for you to find current advice and there is a directory of travel test providers.

The University does offer both symptomatic PCR testing and regular symptom-free testing, but this does not include testing related to travel. More information about University testing, which may come in handy once you arrive, can be found on the University website here

We strongly encourage you to take up the offer of a Covid-19 vaccination when eligible, ideally before arriving in Oxford at the start of the autumn (Michaelmas) term. If students arrive in Oxford having had the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine elsewhere in the UK, they are encouraged to bring their vaccination card with them, or to have a record of their NHS number, and arrange to have the second dose of the vaccine in Oxford. International students are eligible to access the Covid-19 vaccine for free, regardless of their nationality or immigration status. Further information about Covid-19 vaccination for international students can be found here.

See a list of immunisations you should receive before travelling to Oxford here.

Biometric Residence Permit card collection

Please refer to the University's guidance and FAQs regarding different options for collecting your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) card.

We generally expect students to bring a suitable computer with them to College – software should be up to date with all security patches, etc installed. Please read the University's guide to IT equipment which should help you.
